My name is Amanda Allen and I am the Interim Headteacher. I am incredibly proud of our warm and friendly school and the innovative way the team here work together with parents, governors, children and the community to create teaching and learning opportunities that are relevant, meaningful and fun!
We are voluntary aided school supported by a secular foundation trust and our school is much smaller than average, currently having 52 pupils on roll. Being a small school enables us to really get to know the children and families that use our services and to personalise the learning experience of each child.
Our approach to the National Curriculum has been developed by the whole school community and is skills based. Through learning experiences that are exciting and memorable and by using new technologies like Netbooks and iPads to enhance our provision we aim to equip all of our children with essential skills for learning and life in a truly inclusive and creative way. We want all of our children to develop a love of learning that will continue throughout their lives.
We value your opinions and feedback about our school. One way in which you can do this is through Parent View. You can enter Parent View by clicking this link - it will open in a new window.
In this website you will be provided with a brief but comprehensive outline of the way in which we work. As well as describing the aims and philosophy of the school, the site also explains our approach to the curriculum, discipline and the importance of liaison between home and school. It is hoped that the website will contain all of the information needed by prospective parents, but by far the best way in which to gain a proper impression of our school is to visit us whilst we are at work. Appointments to do this are easily made by telephoning the school to arrange a mutually convenient time.
Please feel free to contact us, I look forward to meeting you!
